This morning while reading the New York Times article- Straight Talk: A New Breed of Fashion Bloggers I discovered Marcus Troy- a Black Canadian journalist and style blogger. I was immediately intrigued. As I was browsing through his archives I came across an interview where he discusses how to distinguish the difference between confidence and arrogance. He says:
its probably the hardest thing to do. A thing like Twitter has made it really easy for people to reveal an exaggerated sense of their own importance. A confident person doesn’t have to retweet every single compliment they receive or brag about every important meeting they just left or how exciting the future is going to be for them. I think it is really about what people choose to do with that voice. “Bad boys move in silence” always remains true.
I liked his response. I’ll be following his site from here on out (or until I get bored)
